Used in combination with mechanical cultivation, banded herbicide application in corn and soybean helps reduce production costs as well as environmental and health hazards associated with the use of herbicides. Originaly produced in French as part of the Agro-environmental Program support for the Crop Protection Strategy (MAPAQ) and translated through the financial support of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, this document describes the operation of the recommanded sprayers depending on application timing. It is also about selection of nozzles, adjustment of the sprayer and precautions to take in order to get good results.
